Already named as one of the best new housing developments in the South West, Cavanna Homes’ Fusion, in Torbay, has now been highly commended at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
Four months ago the development, off Brixham Road in Paignton, was voted 2016’s best social or affordable new housing development in the South West in the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Building Excellence Awards.
Now Fusion has been highly commended in the LABC Warranty national awards – known as The Bricks – in the category for southern Development of the Year (51+ units).
Providing more than 200 new homes, Fusion also offers employment and retail space, including a popular new Aldi store, as well as a hilltop park, and has been designed as a vibrant extension to the existing community.
Darren Goodland, Cavanna Homes’ Technical Manager, said: “This is the latest in a number of recent honours for Fusion and Cavanna. The Bricks focus on quality and excellence in construction, so to have been highly commended on the national stage is something we can all be proud of.
“The first two phases of Fusion have already all been sold, and work on Phase Three is now well under way – with the show home due to open any day now!”
In addition to the LABC honours, Cavanna has been named a five-star home builder for the fourth year in a row following an independent customer satisfaction survey by the Home Builders Federation. That means at least nine out of ten new customers would recommend Cavanna to their friends and family.
