Five-star Cavanna build growing reputation for satisfied customers

Cavanna Homes have made it five out of five as they have been named among the top home builders in the country – thanks to their satisfied customers.

Torquay-based Cavanna Homes have been awarded the maximum five stars in the prestigious Home Builders Federation (HBF) Customer Satisfaction Survey for the fifth year in a row.

And in the 2017 awards they were the only house builder based in the South West of England to earn the top honour.

The survey, carried out for the HBF by the National House Building Council, asks new home owners across the country a range of questions about their property and their buying experience, including whether they would recommend their builder to family or friends.

Cavanna Homes was one of just 15 firms nationwide who were given top marks after being recommended by 90 per cent or more of their customers.

The company only became eligible to enter the awards five years ago and is one of only six home builders across the UK to have consistently earned the top rating since then.

Cavanna Group Director Martin Cavanna said: “The HBF award is particularly important to us as it is based on an independent survey of the people who matter most to us, our customers.

“We’re proud of each and every one of these awards, but none more so than this one. In recent years, we have been developing more new homes than ever before, and we have been determined not to sacrifice quality for quantity.

“We regularly survey our own customers to make sure we’re doing our best to meet their expectations.

“As we grow and develop more sites, we are determined to make sure there is enough time for thorough quality control so that when we hand over the keys to our customers, we can be confident that we’ve focused on the things that matter most to them.

“It’s encouraging to see that two thirds of the five-star builders again this year are private companies, which shows that smaller firms are leading the way when it comes to achieving customer satisfaction.

“We have been ranked more highly than many of the biggest names in the industry nationwide – this award is a real credit to our team and a stamp of approval we are extremely proud to have.”

Stewart Baseley, Executive Chairman of the HBF, said: “As output increases the industry faces a huge challenge to ensure it maintains and improves its track record on customer service and build quality. To ensure it has the capacity to do so it has been recruiting heavily and is putting in place processes that will allow it to recruit and train tens of thousands more people in the coming years.

“Housebuilders remain committed to delivering the high-quality product our customers quite rightly expect, and responding appropriately when issues arise. The vast majority of customers are already happy with the service and quality of their home but the industry is determined to deliver even higher levels in the years to come.”
