Technical Project Manager, with Housing Design Portfolio duties 

 

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated professional, to assist and ensure that the pre-development projects are delivered efficiently and to programme. Support the project team during the active project stage providing necessary guidance and input to ensure that the Company’s targets are achieved. To support in the maintenance of the Housing Design Portfolio as we manage building regulation updates.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the Company’s Portfolio Team
  • Manage the Company’s Specification Team
  • Keep the portfolio up to date in terms of regulations and design feedback
  • Developing new ranges of house types with accompanying standard details
  • Assist in the production of the company standard design guide
  • Lead the Research and Development of new methods, products and build techniques
  • Monitor other housebuilders products within the market

 

Working with People

  • Ensuring that all relationships with external design team members are managed within the company’s stated procedures
  • Supporting department members in ensuring that the company’s health & safety policies are followed at all times
  • Support your colleagues in their development

 

Working Within the Design and Technical Departments and Portfolio Team

  • Co-ordinating design resources so that delivery of relevant information achieves its target date
  • Ensuring that all information produced meets the agreed quality standards for such information
  • Providing the appropriate support, advice and assistance to the portfolio team so that the team can achieve its targets.
  • Co-ordinate, access and action relevant input from portfolio team members.
  • Working with the portfolio team to assess cost and income information and aim to minimise and eliminate cost movements where possible.
  • Ensuring that all departmental and portfolio procedures and standards are maintained and delivered

 

Meeting Customer Expectations

  • Working with project teams to ensure that customer expectations are met
  • Ensuring that the department’s obligations to its internal and external customers are met

 

Contributing to the Cavanna Brand

  • Promoting the company’s name and image
  • Support the Head of Design with developing and improving the portfolio process and its integration within the design and technical processes
  • Support the Head of Design with reviewing working practices to improve operational efficiency

  • Work to develop your role within the company.
  • Ensuring that you follow the company’s health & safety policies at all times
  • Conducting yourself in a presentable and professional manner
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with other members of staff
  • Sharing responsibility to identify your development needs and undertaking training to meet them
