We’re proud to be official supporters of the Torbay Art Show for the second year, following the events successful launch in 2018.
This year’s Torbay Art Show will be held in the Cavanna Centenary Hall at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School over the weekend of 21 – 22 March. The Art Show will once again bring together a selection of the finest local and national artists, ceramicists, sculptors and glass-makers for an exhibition showcasing their fantastic creations, which people will be able to purchase.
The Art Show is organised and run by the Parents’ Association of the school and raises funds for the refurbishment of the Sixth Form Centre. The funds will see the Sixth Form take on a brighter, more spacious appearance with computer study rooms for unsupervised learning and a new café area for students.
A highlight of the show will be an exhibition of Robert Lenkiewicz’s paintings. Reuben Lenkiewicz will be displaying a large selection of his father’s original paintings and drawings from the Education Project on which his late father worked during the 1980s.
Keith Miller, Managing Director, said: “We recognise the importance of investing in the next generation, which is why we were more than happy to sponsor the Art Show for its second year.
“Many of our employees, and members of the Cavanna family, attended both the Girls and Boys’ Grammar School, and as a local employer and business with firm roots in Torquay, we’re proud to show our continued support.”
