Reservation at first sight thanks to Part-Exchange at Berryfields
When Mark and Anthony Sawlbury started looking for a new place to call home, a positive recommendation from a colleague and the prospect of using Part Exchange led them to our Berryfields development in Roundswell, on the edge of Barnstaple.
The couple previously lived in a new build ground floor apartment with their cat, Peggy, and two dogs; Thimble an eight-year-old Jack Russel cross Springer Spaniel, and Ribbon an 18-week-old Miniature Dachshund. When Mark, a Bank Official, was offered a home working role, he jumped at the chance and set the wheels in motion to find a beautiful new home to create a relaxing place to work and with outdoor space for their pets.
Mark’s colleague, who recently purchased a new home at Berryfields, recommended the Part-Exchange scheme to the couple. After exploring the website to learn more and to see what house types were available, the couple got in touch with the Sales Advisor, Chris Hodder.
“After our initial enquiry, we were really impressed with how quickly Chris got back to us with additional information on Part-Exchange, so we booked an appointment to see him at the Marketing Suite that weekend.
“We stepped inside the show home and were amazed at the finish and quality compared to our new build apartment built by a different builder. We chatted through the available homes and when we saw the two-bedroom Constable, our minds were firmly made up. This was the perfect home for us, so we reserved the very same day!”, said Mark.
“The idea of using Part-Exchange really appealed to us, so Chris arranged for Moving Made Easy to assist and instructed a local Estate Agent to value and photograph our existing home and deliver a detailed report with their findings and valuation.
“A few weeks later, we had an offer on our apartment and were able to confirm our reservation with Chris. The whole process was so straightforward and simple, it took a huge weight off our shoulders and made the moving process a lot easier for us”, added Anthony.
The couple moved into their two-bedroom, end-terrace Constable home with parking at the end of October, and worked closely with Chris to choose their finishing touches from kitchen and bathroom fittings to tiles and flooring.
“We loved being able to customise our home ready for when we moved in and choosing all the fittings was very straightforward due to all the samples being available for us to look at in the Marketing Suite and being displayed around the show home.
“We’re really happy in our beautiful new home and the location is ideal for us being closer to our work and having fresh open outdoor space to enjoy.
“Chris has been fantastic throughout the buying process and made everything from reserving to using Part-Exchange and moving into our new home a perfect experience for us. It was also a real treat to be welcomed into our new home with a hamper full of goodies and our first new home card!”, said Mark.
