1. Space for all the family
We have a fantastic selection of three and four-bedroom homes with space to transform a spare room into a home office using our fit-out scheme, or you could create your very own dressing room with full-length mirrored wardrobes and plenty of storage.
On selected homes, we’ve also extended the garages to accommodate a home office so that you can create an ideal work / home life balance. Alternatively, use this space to be creative by turning it into an art studio, play or gaming room, or even a garden bar to enjoy with friends and family in the summer.
2. Excellent education
Oak Mount is in an ideal location for young families with our new homes in the catchment area of the ‘Outstanding’ rated Uffculme School for children aged 11-16 years.
For younger children, Hemyock Primary School is across the road from our new community, meaning pupils and parents can walk to and from the school during the week.
3. Love the location
Hemyock is home to a community hall which hosts an array of activities for all the family, such as parent and toddler groups and fitness classes.
There is also a superb selection of sports facilities including Hemyock Recreation Ground with football and cricket facilities, plus tennis courts and play parks for children to enjoy.
The village centre is a short walk from Oak Mount and has a local pub and shops, plus a post office and a church.
4. Walking and exploring
If you love being outdoors, there’s plenty to discover and explore right on your doorstep, such as scenic hillside and river walks, as well as cycling paths to take in the picturesque Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Quarts Moor National Reserve, a National Trust estate, is a short drive away and offers great walks for all ages. We also recommend you take in the stunning views across the area at the Wellington Monument – a 175-foot-high obelisk surrounded by woodland walks, and only a 15-minute drive away.
5. Commuting for work
For commuters, Taunton and Exeter are easily accessible via the M5, and Tiverton Parkway Train Station is a 25-minute drive away and provides parking and services to Penzance, Bristol, London and beyond.
Exeter Airport is a convenient 35-minute drive away from Oak Mount and can transport you to Spain and Greece throughout the year, as well as offering a range of domestic flights too.
All homes will be fitted with air source heat pumps to provide a low-carbon way of heating your home! Plus, they benefit from excellent wall and loft insulation and double glazing as standard.
