Warmwell Rise Brings Green Open Space and Investment to Crossways

A new neighbourhood has opened in Crossways, with our new development Warmwell Rise delivering new homes, welcoming green open space and over £1.37 million in investment to support the local community.

A Well-Attended Community Launch

We officially launched the development at a public event, welcoming local residents and visitors from Crossways and the surrounding villages to explore the site and find out more about the new homes now taking shape.

Families, first-time buyers and downsizers spent time walking the development and exploring the show home, where they asked questions and got a feel for what life at Warmwell Rise could look like, ahead of the first residents moving into their new homes this summer and bringing a growing new community to the Dorset village.

A key feature of Warmwell Rise is the generous green infrastructure created as part of the development, which has been designed to benefit both future residents and the wider community and includes accessible natural open space for walking, recreation and wildlife, alongside a dedicated outdoor play space for children.

Green Spaces Designed for Everyday Life

The design of the green open space encourages everyday outdoor activity close to home, with walking routes and landscaped areas that are freely accessible and intended to be enjoyed by the wider Crossways community, not just those living at the development.

Investment That Supports the Wider Area

Alongside the on-site green spaces, Warmwell Rise will bring £1,379,178 to local improvements through the Community Infrastructure Levy, which Dorset Council will receive to support wider infrastructure such as transport, education, open spaces and community facilities across the area.

A Development Rooted in the Community

Hannah Newnes, Sales and Marketing Director at Cavanna Homes, said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome our inaugural visitors to Warmwell Rise and hear their first impressions of the show home and the development as a whole. Being able to see how people respond to the homes, the layouts and the green spaces plays such an important role in the process, and the feedback we received on the day was incredibly encouraging.

“From the outset, we designed Warmwell Rise to be about more than new homes. The open spaces and play areas are there for everyone to enjoy, creating a space that feels genuinely part of Crossways rather than separate from it.

“We know how important access to nature and outdoor space is for people’s wellbeing, and we are proud that this development delivers that alongside much-needed new homes and meaningful investment into local infrastructure.”

Homes Designed for Modern Living

Warmwell Rise will deliver a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including 49 affordable homes, which feature practical layouts, spacious interiors and energy-efficient design and sit comfortably within their surroundings through careful landscaping and pedestrian-friendly routes that connect the development to the wider area.
