Cavanna Homes site manager wins prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job award
We’re celebrating after our Site Manager, Rob Farkins, was recognised as one of the UK’s leading construction professionals, winning a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award.
Rob, who has been part of the Cavanna Homes team for five and a half years and has led our Elm Park development for the past two and a half years, received the accolade following a rigorous judging process that is widely regarded as one of the most demanding in the housebuilding industry.
Now in its 45th year, NHBC’s Pride in the Job awards recognise site managers who consistently deliver the highest standards of construction quality, leadership, health and safety, technical expertise and customer satisfaction. This year’s Quality Award winners represent the top five per cent of site managers across the UK.
For Rob, the award marks a significant milestone as the first Pride in the Job award of his career.
Rob said: “To receive this award is a huge honour and something I’m incredibly proud of.
“While the award is presented to the site manager, it is really a reflection of every single person who has contributed to the success of the development. From our tradespeople and subcontractors through to the wider Cavanna Homes team, everyone has played their part in achieving the high standards we set ourselves every day.
“It reflects the way we work at Cavanna Homes. There is a genuine commitment to quality throughout the business and this award is testament to the dedication, care and craftsmanship that every person brings to site.”
The Pride in the Job process involves thousands of site inspections and detailed assessments over an 18-month period, with judges evaluating every aspect of site management and build quality before selecting the winners.
Yanni Sechatis, Director of Construction at Cavanna Homes, said: “We are absolutely delighted for Rob. Winning a Pride in the Job award is one of the highest accolades a site manager can achieve within the housebuilding industry and is a reflection of his exceptional leadership, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
“Rob’s success also highlights the strength of the wider team working alongside him at Elm Park. Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of this achievement.”
Rob will now progress to the next stage of the competition, where he will be considered for a Seal of Excellence and Regional Award later this year.
