Easter Events and Things to Do in Bude
Spring is one of the best times to visit Bude. As the days grow longer and the coastline begins to come back to life, the Easter holidays bring a lively programme of family events, seasonal activities and outdoor adventures across the town.
From Easter egg hunts and food festivals to coastal walks and beach days, there are plenty of things to do in Bude during the Easter break.
Easter events at Wooda Farm
Just outside Bude, Wooda Farm Holiday Park is hosting a full programme of Easter activities throughout the holiday period, making it a great option for families visiting the area.
Festivities begin on Good Friday with a colouring competition, where children can collect activity sheets from reception and return them by Tuesday for the chance to win an Easter hamper.
On Saturday morning, children can take part in activities including kids’ football, archery and Easter arts and crafts sessions.
Easter Sunday brings the highlight of the weekend with the traditional Easter egg hunt at 11am on the farm. The event is free for children under 12 and is always a popular part of the Easter celebrations. In the evening, live music continues the atmosphere with a performance by Ezmey Grace at The Yard Bar.
The fun continues on Easter Monday with free tractor rides around the site, offering a chance to explore the surrounding countryside. Younger visitors can also enjoy the Pop Up Play Village, designed for children aged up to eight. Live music returns later that evening with James Dixon performing at The Yard Bar.
Additional events take place later in the week, including pottery painting sessions, live music and a quiz night.
Bude Food Festival
One of the highlights of the Easter weekend is the Bude Food Festival, held on Easter Monday in the town centre.
The event brings together artisan food producers, street food vendors and local businesses for a lively day of food, drink and entertainment. Visitors can browse market stalls, sample local produce and enjoy live music while children take part in family activities.
Explore Bude’s coastline
Beyond organised events, Easter is the perfect time to enjoy Bude’s natural attractions before the busy summer season begins.
Popular activities include walking along the South West Coast Path, exploring Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches, or cycling along the scenic Bude Canal.
Spring wildflowers and coastal wildlife make this a particularly beautiful time of year to explore the area.
Discover Bude’s town centre
For a more relaxed day out, visitors can explore The Castle Bude, which hosts exhibitions, heritage displays and seasonal events throughout the year.
The surrounding park and canal are ideal for a stroll or picnic, while the town centre offers a mix of independent shops, cafés and restaurants.
