Coronavirus FAQs

To help give some guidance and support during this period, please see a list of some of our Frequently Asked Questions.

Can I still reserve a property?

Yes you can still reserve a property and we will work with you to achieve an exchange and completion date that is realistic and mutually agreeable.

We are pleased to invite customers to view our Show Homes or Marketing Suites by booking an appointment with one of our Sales Advisors; by emailing [email protected] or using the email address for the development you’re interested in visiting, which can be found here.

In line with HBF guidance, to ensure the safety and welfare of visitors, staff and contractors on site, we will insist on a by-appointment only system and face coverings must be worn at all times when visiting our Marketing Suites.

What measures are you putting in place to protect your site teams?

We have worked closely with our partners, site team, sub-contractors, the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and followed advice from the Health and Safety Executive to create a robust, safe and responsible plan.

All of our site teams and sub-contractors will undertake bespoke training on the new strict working practices and protocols. Social distancing and using PPE will remain a priority and bespoke PPE will be used for jobs which require more than one person to complete.

We will continue to monitor government guidance on COVID-19 and review our protocols accordingly.

When will I get an update on the completion date for my new home?

The time we have been closed has had an affect on your build completion date. Homes are now being progressed taking into account social distancing rules and in the safest way possible – this unfortunately will mean slower progress than we had anticipated pre COVID. Please be assured we will endeavour to deliver your new home as quickly as we can and to the correct quality.

Please speak to your sales advisor for an update.

If you have any concerns regarding the current situation with your Mortgage Offer then please contact your Sale Adviser. We are finding that early notice of any build delays can iron out issues and unnecessary worry with financing your new home purchase.

If I have any queries or concerns, who should I contact?

Our Head of Construction Andy Sykes can be contacted via [email protected]. Please leave your contact details and your message will be answered as soon as possible.

How are we going to make our choices and request extras?

The choices and extras deadlines will be extended due to many plots experiencing delays in completion. We will contact all relevant customers to ensure they are able to make the choices they require.

Can I still ring you/email you when I need to?

All our Sales Offices are open via appointment only, from Thursday to Monday between 10am-5pm. If you need to meet up with one of the team please get in touch and we will arrange a convenient appointment.

Can I still complete on my purchase?

Following government guidelines, we are still currently able to complete on properties that are build complete as our properties are vacant. If you are in a chain, please seek further government guidance and follow the necessary guidelines.

What happens if my reservation expiry date comes and goes and things have been delayed passed that?

Please do not worry. Cavanna Homes will work with you to accommodate delays and we ask that you continue to work with your solicitors to progress your transaction as far as is possible in readiness for the situation easing and business returning to normal.
